• Weigela flower and look best in full sun – a minimum of six hours a day, with eight or more preferable.
• Snippetweigela do not need pruning, trimming, or deadheading in order to rebloom.
• However, if you wish to give them a trim, do so immediately after their late spring bloom.
• Weigela benefit from having the oldest stems removed every other year or so after their first 3-5 years in the ground.
• Old, thick stems are not as productive in terms of flowers or foliage so can cause the plant to look less colorful and lush.
